Become a Slugger...Hit a Home Run Against Drugs!
The goal of our S.T.R.I.K.E. after school and summer enrichment program is to start teaching resilience in kids early.
We facilitate this through a series of prevention and healthy promotion lessons and activities that empower youth to live a healthy lifestyle. The HRAD/STRIKE program will help to foster resilience in teens by supporting the building of self-esteem, goal setting, health and nutrition, refusal skills, decision making mindfulness based yoga and consequences through group and individual activities. The goals of HRAD/STRIKE activities are to encourage engagement with the school and the community, minimize risky behaviors, and promote positive youth development.
Home Run Against Drugs has partnered with The National Institutes of Health (NIH), a part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, is the nation’s medical research agency — making important discoveries that improve health and save lives.
